Back to School

Hey! Its been a while but I am back!

Vacation was AWESOME! We had a lot of fun & really enjoyed the time away from Missouri. We drove through tons of mountains, went horse back riding in Montana, went to Carmel beach, saw the Monterey Bay aquarium, saw Old Faithful & other geysers, went to Bear world in Rex Idaho where you drove your car through a park of roaming bears, Went to the old union pacific railway station in Wyoming, Visited the Grizzly Bear & Wolf discovery center in Wyoming, and TONS OF OTHER THINGS! I took over 1000 photos of the trip & everything we saw. I think my favorite part was being in California. We saw sea lions on a see through bottom boat and jelly fish as well. Just the atmosphere of tourist shops and the water was great! There were a great many places to eat & each one was very unique but a lot of fun to try. Vegas was REALLY hot. I believe the highest was 117 while we were there. My flip flops melted to the sidewalk! We saw THE LEGENDS while we were there as well as Tournament of the Kings (we were the Irish). Stephen and I played penny slots quite a bit and I ended up with almost $700 so I was happy about that. It was just a really great vacation with lots of memories I hope to never forget!

Other than vacation, I became an Aunt! Ella arrived on August 13th & I couldn't love her more! She is so precious but quite the chunker weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz!! Oma went to visit and plans to go back this coming weekend. Other than that, I have started working the second job and its better than I expected. I worry about having too much to do and trying to keep up but I'll give it my best shot.

Classes start in about 7 days so I have been trying to get ready for that. I moved everything we need to take back out into the den and now I'm just trying to organize it so that we can decide what we need and what we can throw away or leave. I am still crossing my fingers that I end up in a better dorm. We shall see. I am thinking that I will just have to deal with where I am & make the best of it. I cant wait until we finally get an apartment. That will be the life.

Any who (like I always say), I am at work. I have 4 more days until working in the office is over :( bittersweet because I love the people here & I love what I get to help do. HOWEVER, it does mean I get to go back to helping lab assist and I am excited about getting back into that for the semester.

Im on lunch break so I think I am going to read my book. I picked up "Cannery Row" while we were there :)

Almost there!

So vacation time is almost here! Only 3 more days until we leave I am more than pumped for this break!!!

Im sitting at work right now & I have been scanning all day lol, not too exciting. I got some really good news this morning too~ I got an interview!! Wish me luck, I need this second job badly. I have never worked at a grocery store or performed that type of work but I know how to clean and I have been a cashier at retail store so it will be a little different but not too bad. I am honestly excited! I cant wait for the interview later today but Im nervous :)

I made instruction sheets for JLO so she knows how to take care of my babies and also made a check list so I dont forget anything for the trip so you can tell I havent been working too hard at work today.

Not much else is new. Last night we went to Como to watch B during her gymnastics practice and then went to TGIF to celebrate Waynes late birthday. I got the Dragonfire Chicken and it was SO SO SO good, Highly recommend it! We got home around 10:15 and we both just passed out. Its kinda yuck outside today, kinda drizzly and dark but nice change in the heat. Im just sitting here listening to Pandora Radio. "Lots of leavin left to do" by Dierks is playing :)

Alright, Well I might write again before we leave but if not be ready for a whole lot of posts because I plan to blog every night and tell you about my day so it should be neat & i'll try to get pictures up too!

The weather was GORGEOUS today, so I went for a walk by myself & it was much enjoyed believe me. Not too much to say but I have had my favorite song in my head for the past few days & it has been bringing back memories, good-old-make you think memories. "Everything" by Lifehouse has been my favorite song since the day the album was released in junior high. Its that one song that can fix my bad days & its only appropriate that it is Stephen & I's song :) Here it is:

Life Update

A lot has happened since the last time I blogged!

Work: Going pretty good, Cant believe I have already been here for over a month! Crazy how fast time has flown by! Yesterday we did "The Amazing Race @ the WOODS". It was a lot of fun, and interesting too! I was at the S&L station to hand out the teams next clue :P I worked from 9-7pm so I made money also which will be nice on the next check. We took some pictures which will be loaded up to facebook so I cant wait to see them :)

Life in General: Everything is going great in this department! I have just been working & looking for a second job. I just found out I will have to pay $5,000 for the semester and one job is not gonna cut it. BUT so far, no luck. I have to make something happen though thats for sure or school for me will be non-exsistant. I watched Conrad for Tinaya last night for the 2nd time. He is such a good baby and I enjoy every minute with him! Im sure stephen does too, He is so good with him. We cleaned the turtle tank, went to Peyton & Tylers last Teeball game Monday and other than that, just been hanging out. We are getting ready for this biggest Vacation coming up in only 8 days...Man that month went by quickly! I still have to unpack from my Bama vacation this past week. I also need to find a pet sitter to feed the animals & pick up the mail. I still need to get the downstairs cleaned so we can come home to a clean house.

Kara's Wedding: IT WAS AWESOME! I had such a good time from the flights down to the drive back! I met some cool people on the plane rides and I love to fly so it was nice to do that also. I took tons of pictures and I cant wait to hear about their cruise :) LOVE YALL!

My Family: When I was in Bama, that Thursday we drove to Montgomery to visit Christina and that was great. It was really nice to meet her and see thier house and Ella's room. I love thier puppy rambo and the kitty TK. We went to Wally and had fun in their. We were stuck in traffice for a LONG time on the way home but it was neat to just hangout with my mom and sisters. It was really great to see all my animals at home and Jigs new kitten babies :) Not much has changed in Old Decatur but I like it that way, its the same as when I left and I love those memories. I didnt get to see a few people I really wanted to but I will def. make up for that during my christmas vacation home.

*My summer is going wonderfully well and I am enjoying every minute of it. It is going by fast but Im sure when school is ready to begin again, I will enjoy taking on the new classes as a challange and working harder than before to complete my goals. Its a new start to a new day, so I am going to try my best to remember that every morning and make the best of each day God gives me!

Counting it down- Trips Galore!

IM SO EXCITED!!

I know I keep saying that but its just hard not to be when I am flying home tomorrow, seeing family & friends, going to my best friends wedding, having stephen in my home town, and from this weekend here on out until school starts, my weekends are packed! Which makes me excited because I want this summer to seem like it lasted forever.

The 4th of July wasnt the best because the weather sucked. It rained ALL DAY LONG. The sun came out for literally 10 mintues all day and that was it. It quit raining around 10pm so thats when we did the fireworks & those were GREAT! They lasted almost an hour & a half. Lacey came so I had someone there my age which was nice. We didnt go swimming because it was so cold but once the fireworks were over the beer pong started & I played with JLO and we won 2-1 over Regina & Melissa :) After that, I was tired and fell asleep until around 3 am when steve was ready to go home.

My mom went to MS to visit the family for the 4th. Someone broke into the house, and jiggy had her babies. Nice homecoming huh?

After the long weekend, I am pretty rested. Last night I watched Conrad for Tinaya & John just to let her sleep throught the night. He woke up at 1, 4, and 6 ate and went back to sleep. I dropped the little booger off this morning on the way to work :) I came in at 8am so that I can leave at 2pm just so I can get home and get things done that I need to. I still need to pack and run a few errands. I plan on going by and seeing the bestie before I head out of town so I dont miss them as much. We made plans with Christina to drive to Montogomery and visit for a bit. Brandon is at training for a month so I bet she could use the family company. Anywho, not much else is going on. Melissa invited me to her bridal party while steve is at Jeremy's. We got tickets to go to the Cardnials game in august, I have liz W's baby shower, I plan on visiting Val in springfield, and of course our big vacation is very soon! So lots to do but I love it!

I have to get back to work, I am suppose to be working hard lol, ya.

A not so great story on my not so great Wednesday:

Yesterday while at work, Tara & I were going through some paperwork that covered requirements for the B.S. & B.A. in Biology & I noticed that I have been following the wrong one. I am going for a B.A. & I have been going above & beyond in classes that I may not of had to even take. Well I emailed Dr. Spratt letting her know this and I think she was upset because her responding email didnt sound so thrilling but idk. The last thing I need is a professor upset with me over a simple misunderstanding.

Not much else has happened since the last time I posted. Stephen's mom bought her Escape, we showed it Daphne & Peyton. Last night for dinner we went to Pizza Works. It was OK but I am not a big fan of their pizza. For once though I would really like to just have a simple cheese only pizza. No one here gets just cheese pizza. Ever. Anywho, we tried out the new tank cleaner on the turtles last night and it works great! While stephen cleaned the pool, I got to chase 4 hissey pissey turtles around the yard LOL! T.R. kept trying to take off into the woods, Oscar thought she was a snake & hissed at me, Boots tried to bite (which she never does), and my baby owl dug in the grass & stayed put like a good turtle should :P I dont think they realize that they are not land turtles. After that I just kinda hung out and got comfy on the couch and watched Greys Season 2 extras until around 10:30 then I headed off for bed while steve played his game.

I guess some good news would be that my vacation trip to Bamie is only 14 days away. All the bridemaids are suppose to stay at the brides parents house the night before the wedding day so that should be fun, we havent had a "sleep over" in years.I am hoping to see a lot of old friends and just catch up. Lunch with Mrs. Horton will be great too. Steve is going to have to take me to STL but I dont want him to drive back by himself. He keeps telling me not to worry about but its just something I do. *Note to self: Only 29 days until Destination Vacation Time!

I'm at work right now. Scanning. Like always. I dont want to wish the summer away but I want it to be July 24th! Although, July 4th should be great too. Like the past few times, we have a bunch of fireworks and were are going swimming all day long kinda like this weekends plans but no fireworks :) I'm excited just cause I have been wanting to go swimming for some time now & this way I will get to see the little guys & work on my tan at the same time. We are suppose to do a movie night with Tinaya & John sometime but I dont think it will be this weekend.

Slow Down Summer

Summer is going by so fast! I noticed today that it is already more than half way through June and there is still so many things I want to do before we have to move back onto campus. Debbie and I just booked the last hotel for our massive vacation in Las Vegas, NV. and I dont think we could of picked a better one.

All day I have been REALLY lazy. We slept in until around 10:30 this morning and then I continued to lay there forever. I finally went upstairs and got some grapes for breakfast and then played on the computer until I got a headache..which I had for pretty much the rest of the day. Steve made pizza for lunch & then I went back downstairs and took 1 1/2 hr nap to get rid of my headache. He left to go give his dad his fathers day present and I woke up around 4. I planned on cleaning today but that didnt happen. I also planned on getting things washed and cleaned for vacation, but that did not happen either. Like I said, it was a VERY lazy sunday. His momma bought some food and then we made hamburgers & fries for dinner. I had ice cream with hard-shell chocolate and then we did some research for the trip. Now steve is playing halo and im getting ready to brush my teeth and head for beds so that 6:30am doesnt seem so hellacious.

Over the weekend Conrad was put in the hospital for having jaundice and I know that must of been rough on his momma so I brought them my laptop and some movies so that they wouldnt be so bored but I had to go and have an idiot moment and I forgot to tell them the password. So steve and the rest of the group went to Olive Garden after I left the hospital and we partied at Joe's playing "Mr. Bush's Rules" until about 12:30. The best part was how about 5 of us had to do "role play" where we switched identies with others. I switched with stephen and then from there on out alex was stephen and I became Casey and so on. It was just funny to see how other people portray you. I grabbed an Xbox controller and acted like steve getting all mad at the tv & he came back with a high pitched voice mocking me....lol whatever. Anywho, it was a fun evening and that Kerrie can make some pretty darn good Majito's. I had 2 and I would of had 2 more but steve was ready to go. Ryan & Andrea also put together a slide show of pictures from throughout their whole relationship & it was cute to see how much they have changed over the years.

Things between my mom and brandon are looking up and I really hope they can learn to communicate and we can be a family again and be able to see ella.

Another Day

This morning I woke up to my alarm going off @ 6:30 am. I really didnt want to get up but its finally Friday which means tomorrow, I can sleep in and do nothing except what I wanna do which will include: Cleaning our room, Laundry, Dishes, Cleaning the turtle tanks, Working out for a good hour, Cleaning my bathroom, facebooking in between all this, and probably laying out and catching some sun even in this 95+ degree weather. Stephen Will probably be haloing most of the day or go out to Trav's but who knows. Right now I have Facebook up, my blog, and Y107. Im suppose to be scanning in documents into the database but everyone else in the office isnt working "hard" so why should I? lol its so not like me but I cant help it..its repetitive and boring without some music and FB. After lunch I get to go upstairs and alphabetize files...I have been doing it all week. Its not so bad but I often get a headache from it.

Ugh...my coffee is getting cold. Only 4 more hours.

I honestly cant wait to fly home & see my family. I really hope I get to see Kathryn also. Best Friends who havent seen each other since 8th grade...tough! Hopefully I will still get to stay with her and see her momma & dog baby! Its been too long. I am most excited about just doing girl stuff with Kara. I need to start on my speech! I want it to be great. I cried while reading Tinaya's..it probably didnt even make sense but I couldnt help it gosh darn it! I need to figure out what I am gonna do with Kara's maid of honor dress. I guess I just wont breathe haha~no biggie. I hope the kiddo's wanna hangout and do something while im there. Its been so long since I have been there during the summer I dont know what there is to do anymore. Most of the time I go home during the Winter and we go no where because its yuck outside and cold and I am lazy and stay indoors. Maybe we can go to the park or something. Point Mallard- havent been there in a REALLY long time. Might have to try it. What do you think Victoria? Should I attempt to take 8 kids to a public place? lol. Ya. I LOVE YOU LITTLE SISTER!

I have 12 days in between getting back from Bama until we leave for Wyoming so I'll have to get repacked and get everything washed & i'm sure I'll have to get stuff together for him because he will pack the day we leave if i dont. I honestly can not wait for this adventure. 14 days of traveling with really great people to really great places. I have never been that far west and to so many different vacation spots at once & I will be taking pictures like no other. I CANT WAIT!

This summer is going so great :)

A great experience

This week has started off with a bang thats for sure! First, on Monday, it was steve's 21st Birthday. We went to outback around 7 & by 10:30 that night, he was hugging the porcelin queen! haha it was the funniest thing because he rambled on about nonsense but I felt so so bad for him. The shots he took werent simple either. I bought him Hennessy, and he also recieved the three wise men, beefeater, jack & coke, and shot gunned 4 beers in mintues. The best part was his discussions with the walmart lady, the tiger stop cashier, and how we was cut off by the manager of outback, but our waitress brought him drinks anyway :) I drove us home around 1 am so we were tired but the next morning he was fine.

Yesterday, (June 16th, 2009) My best friend Tinaya gave birth to a very healthy 8 lbs, 14 oz, 21 in long baby boy. She chose 3 people to be in the delivery room & I was one of the lucky three :) I was so excited and really ready to meet this little man. He gave his momma hell but she did great and I'm really proud of her! I left the hospital around 10 last night (after being there since 1) so it was a long day but a really great day and a really great experience. Now I cant wait to just visit when I can and hangout with the family. I cant believe my bestie is a mommy but I know she will be a great one!

Today I had to go back to work but its going by kind of fast. I am working on paperwork and playing around so its not too hard. Im waiting on lunch because I am starving! I brought soup, yogurt, and sliced apples so now I just have to wait until 12 to eat. I'm really ready to get home because I need to work out for a bit and then when stephen gets home we are headed to go see the new family :) I am making them a really cute card and giving her some "baby sit for free" coupons. I am hoping to get all the pictures I took together in an album and take them up to her so she can have those. Anywho, I need to get back to being busy. I'll write more later!

Half way through June...Stephen's 21st Birthday

Hi :0)

Its finally here...his big 21st! But this day hasnt been going so great for me so far. It has been raining all day and the major road ways to work were extremely covered. There were some parts I didnt think I was going to make it, or get swept off in the process. I saw 1 car already in the median and I was trying my best not to end up like them but I could barely see & at best I was going about 55 mph the whole 30 mins to work. I wasnt late but when I did get to work the umbrella was in the trunk (so im getting drenched while trying to get it out) and then i spilled my coffee while trying to grab everthing out of my car. I got the the front door and of course there was a very unavoidable puddle....had to step through it and get my heels wet. THEN when I finally got into the building I realized I cut my finger & I had blood dripping everywhere :( So ya, it has gotten a smidgen better since 9am this morning but still, Im ready to go home (if the highway is open by the time I get to go home. If not, Im stuck here.)

Good news: My dress for the wedding is here!!! So excited. Hopefully when I get home I can try it on and see if it fits. I might just wear it tonight as a trial run to his birthday dinner at Outback. He has quite a few people coming and so I am going to buy him dinner, drinks, and be his DD for the evening. I dont mind, He always takes care of me so its my turn. I plan on making him a cake if i have time after work. I still need to go by the post office & mail this card back to my mom AND mail out the invites to Kara's wedding party.

This weekend is ryan & andrea's engagement party so that should be fun. I also plan on being lazy, working out, and getting things cleaned and organized. I cleaned the turtle tanks this past weekend and the fish tank the weekend before so I just need to get our room cleaned up again and get laundry done. Anywho, I need to finish up here and get upstairs to see if they need my help. I'll write more later and post a few pics of his goofy self getting crunked!

*Vacation update*

Howdy Yall!

So today stephen's momma and I spent a great deal of time on the computer getting hotels booked and routes planned for our massive 14 day trip to Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, & California! We are all pretty excited and I for one can not wait! The hotel we booked in Wyoming is freakin awesome..so coool. We are about 5 blocks away from the west entrance into Yellow Stone National Park! We plan on spending 2-3 days there just goofing off and exploring the sites plus visiting Old Faithful & those historic california red wood trees. We are also planning a couple of picnics in the park just enjoying wildlife & nature up close and personal :) Lots to do there!

Our second adventure will take us down through Idaho and into California where we will be checking out tons of stuff for 3 whole days and the sites and sounds are even better here, not to mention the fabulous resort we are staying in :)

After Cali comes las vegas where the 21 one year olds (and alex) will be enjoying the city of lights! I'm not big on gambling but playing the slots will definately be something I am checking out :) plus the shows and hotels themselves...its Vegas...ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO ;)

So as you can see, our trip will be a very memorable one and I cant wait to get it started. Summer 2009 is turning out to be a great one so far with some experiences already down and many others left to been had! So keep coming back to read my blog because it will definately be updated on a regular basis as summer 2009 rolls on with trip details!

Im now off to work out and lay out while the sun is shining and I have the house to myself for a little bit anyway. Momma Thoenen is working and Stephen is with his dad birthday shopping...he is so spoiled lol :p

Victoria: mom called me the other day and had to rant about you because your driving her crazy...what else is new. When are yall gonna get along? Anywho, I heard your summer classes where over. How did they go? What else do yu have planned for this summer?

Kyle-lee: Well Roger, ITS BEEN AGES! lol What have you been up to??

Nickolas: I dont know what to say to you booky-jack, I havent heard much from you and all I know is that you keep raiding kyle-lee's room...well...QUIT! How is boy scouts? Evidently not keeping you intertained long enough huh?

Iaian: Hey little man! I was gonna call you the other day I saw this tent and I thought of you. How is boy scouts? Any new badges?

Mackenzie: Hey pretty girl! You havent called me in a while either? Whats up with that? Your god sister is getting married soon! Are you excited? Did you make her a present?

Brooke-lynne: Well well well. If it isnt my boot boot the diva Izabella herself. Have you been nice to MOTHER lately? You better be. Your getting too old to act like that haha your gonna turn into Victoria (jk)! You better spend this summer being a help and not a pest.

Myles-Hayden Konnner: Well doodle bug just for not talking to me on the phone EVERYTIME I call, when I get to alabama in a couple of weeks your getting tickled a lot so get ready! Oh and I think you should draw me some more pictures..I need some new ones for my new room please!

Update on my summer so far :)

Good morning!!

So last night after work steve & I headed to columbia to buy his golf clubs. $399.99. Originally $799.99. Good thing I got to go 1/2 % 1/2 with his momma because I just dont think he would of got them this early birthday or no birthday. After Dick's we headed to Wendy's for dinner & then off to Dave's & Alex's apartment to wait for the rest of the boys to get back from checking out wedding reception areas with for Ryan & Andrea's wedding :)

Then we drove over to Andrea's apartments and I just worked out while the boys played basketball until 10pm. The drive back home was pretty tiring. I was just ready to climb into my bed and catch some ZZZzzz's.

This morning at work started off pretty well except I needed to get paperwork done and my computer has been acting up lately so IThelp desk has been in the office fixing it since 9:30...they are still fixing it. So with no computer, I headed over to Aldridge with the laptop so I can scan books for Rwanda schools and hopefully get about 40 more books shipped over there. I should be doing that but instead Im writing on my blog!

Later on this afternoon when I get back to Mexico Tinaya and I are going to try and get Conrad to get lower by going for a walk through Green Estates. Hopefully walking will help her out and we will see Baby Conrad soon!! :)

I have been thinking a lot about becoming an Aunt and it really didnt hit me until this morning. I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNT!! I cant believe it but nonetheless I am very excited and very thrilled. I just hope I get to see and hold Baby Ella Ann quite a bit because I know she's gonna be spoiled. Her grandma Deborah already is making plans to spoil her rotten.

Anywho, I think I have said enough on this post. I'm gonna get back to work now but I get off at 3pm and Ill probably write some more tonight. ALSO I am writing each of the kids their own post so make sure you check it out later!

I'll be down south soon!

I wanted to start a blog because I'm getting older and so are my brothers and sisters and since I have been away for so long, both sides are missing out on our daily lives and the tiny details that make life important! I will be going to medical school (cross your fingers) in about 2 years and I want them to be able to see whats going on in my life. Facebook is nice for pictures and comments but not really a place where I can discuss my daily adventures. They may not be important to everyone else but to me, my family is VERY important & the kiddo's wanna know whats going on in their big sisters life so:

my best friend since kindergarten KARA BUMBARGER is getting married July 11th and I am so excited for several reasons:

1. I get to see my bestie, its been quite some time
2. My family and I will get to hangout at home. We havent done that in over a 1 1/2
3. Steve & Alex are driving down to pick me up and attend the wedding as well so not only do I get to fly but I get a road trip with two great guys on the way back :)
4. I am having lunch/dinner with my favorite teacher of all time Mrs. Horton!!
5. My animals miss me and I miss my animals especially my cow delilah

So lots of reasons as to why im excited! I have my dress ordered and ready to go for her big day. I cant make it to the parties because of work and lack of $$$ but I will be there for the wedding day as her proud maid of honor. Been working on the speech but I wanna make it perfect so I keep second guessing myself about what I should say (sorry Boo...but "I dont think you can handle this" is appropriate...or is it? LOL!

Later on today after I get off work and drive 30 mins home, stephen and I are going grocery shopping (yum!) then headed to columbia...he wants $400 golf clubs for his birthday and i promised i would help buy them...its his 21st June 15th!!!

Anywho, I need to get back to work I have like 10 mins left on my lunch break then I have to get back down to Aldridge to finish scanning in books to send to Rwanda for those in need.
