Back to School

Hey! Its been a while but I am back!

Vacation was AWESOME! We had a lot of fun & really enjoyed the time away from Missouri. We drove through tons of mountains, went horse back riding in Montana, went to Carmel beach, saw the Monterey Bay aquarium, saw Old Faithful & other geysers, went to Bear world in Rex Idaho where you drove your car through a park of roaming bears, Went to the old union pacific railway station in Wyoming, Visited the Grizzly Bear & Wolf discovery center in Wyoming, and TONS OF OTHER THINGS! I took over 1000 photos of the trip & everything we saw. I think my favorite part was being in California. We saw sea lions on a see through bottom boat and jelly fish as well. Just the atmosphere of tourist shops and the water was great! There were a great many places to eat & each one was very unique but a lot of fun to try. Vegas was REALLY hot. I believe the highest was 117 while we were there. My flip flops melted to the sidewalk! We saw THE LEGENDS while we were there as well as Tournament of the Kings (we were the Irish). Stephen and I played penny slots quite a bit and I ended up with almost $700 so I was happy about that. It was just a really great vacation with lots of memories I hope to never forget!

Other than vacation, I became an Aunt! Ella arrived on August 13th & I couldn't love her more! She is so precious but quite the chunker weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz!! Oma went to visit and plans to go back this coming weekend. Other than that, I have started working the second job and its better than I expected. I worry about having too much to do and trying to keep up but I'll give it my best shot.

Classes start in about 7 days so I have been trying to get ready for that. I moved everything we need to take back out into the den and now I'm just trying to organize it so that we can decide what we need and what we can throw away or leave. I am still crossing my fingers that I end up in a better dorm. We shall see. I am thinking that I will just have to deal with where I am & make the best of it. I cant wait until we finally get an apartment. That will be the life.

Any who (like I always say), I am at work. I have 4 more days until working in the office is over :( bittersweet because I love the people here & I love what I get to help do. HOWEVER, it does mean I get to go back to helping lab assist and I am excited about getting back into that for the semester.

Im on lunch break so I think I am going to read my book. I picked up "Cannery Row" while we were there :)
